Extended Call for IFHOHYP study session - deadline August 5!
Sunday 22 July 2007

Dear all,

IFHOHYP extends its call for IFHOHYP study session applications until August 5 as we still need MORE participants. This study session is bigger than the previous sessions - to make it happen, we need 35 young people from all over Europe!

Hence BIG request to the leaders of HoH organizations – please, send this call as widely as possible to help us recruit young hard of hearing people! We will deeply appreciate your support in seeking young active HoH workers who can benefit from IFHOHYP study session.

We know that we were not quite lucky with the dates of the session (16-23 September, soon after summer holidays). This was the choice of the Council of Europe, not of IFHOHYP. Study session this year will be held in the European Youth Centre Budapest - newer and larger building on the bank of Danube with a beautiful view to the Parliament building - because the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg will be closed for renovation.

Study session programme includes training workshops such as Leadership and Identity, Facilitation skills, Teamwork skills, Public Speaking skills, Active Participation, Human Rights Education, Social Inclusion, Intercultural Learning, European Citizenship, Project Management and others; apart form that, meeting with Johan Hammarström, the first hard of hearing pilot to make a worldwide flight is planned, as well as interactive inputs and workshops by experts & trainers of the Council of Europe.

If some of you wanted to apply, but were busy or on vacation , you have more time now! :)

Spread the word around!
