The deadline for young people wanting to apply for a scholarship to the XV International AIDS Conference in Bangkok (11 to 16 July 2004) is 31 March 2004.
The youth scholarships form part of a larger programme of "Youth Activities" which are being planned to ensure that disadvantaged young people form an integrated and integral part of Conference proceedings. The activities will advocate for youth issues in all areas of the conference. AIDS 2004 will be the year that youth have their voices heard and actively contribute to the both today’s and tomorrow’s agenda A youth forum, conducted before the Conference begins and presented in association with the UN Integrated Regional Information Network and YouthNet, will bring together local and international young people to learn how to maximise their conference experience and review the current impact of AIDS on the young people of the world.
